Stratford East was borne out of a partnership between Community Building Partners, Dayspring CDC and Rockford Homes. In the mid ’90s, Rockford Homes was busy developing single family homes in the nearby Stratford Lakes development, now known as Aspire. As more families were moving into the area it became clear to everyone that Seniors also needed housing nearby.  CBP and Dayspring both had  successful models for service enriched affordable senior housing throughout Columbus and partnered with Rockford to address this need. Dedicated to creating intergenerational socio-economically diverse neighborhoods set up to thrive, the partners opened the doors to Stratford East in 1997. Since then Rockford has retired from the project, and CBP and Dayspring continue in partnership to operate and maintain the community.
